New owner of Reagan Regiment

Mary is new primary owner of Reagan Regiment!

After discussing this with the founder Ann about asking Mary of Shanadoah gifts to be owner of the Reagan Regiment, and Ann thought it was a good idea,

I then sent a private e-mail to Mary asking her if she would like to become the primary active owner of Reagan Regiment. her answer was "Yes".

I will still be co-owner.
I encourage everyone to show Mary Shenandoah

the same respect that was usually shown to Ann and I.

Mary has already indicated to me that she plans on putting some effort in making Reagan Regiment grow.
In my opinion, that is a very good thing for the group and for the members. It means with more members in the future their will possibly be more posts and input about Conservative concerns that are happening both locally and nationally.

So Mary is now the primary owner

of the Conservative group,

Reagan Regiment.

Resurrection Sunday Message

Resurrection Sunday Message

Though I am writing this for resurrection Sunday, it is a good message of hope for all at any and every time of the year.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: John 11:25

Martha in that discussion said of her dead brother Lazarus; "Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days."

Martha thought Jesus was talking of someday but Jesus was a God of the now and still is the God of the now to meet our needs. Graves were often in caves, natural or carved out and blocked with a large stone, a boulder. So when Jesus told them to remove the stone she protested that by now Lazarus would smell bad . "He stinketh" the King James says.

A spiritual application would be that there are churches with false doctrine and just as dangerous compromising Pastors with compromising members and God would say fo those churches that they "stinketh"!

That is another whole message so let us get back to the literal meaning of this Bible incident.

Once they removed the stone Jesus prayed out loud to His Heavenly Father so that there would be no doubt as to why Lazarus came alive. Then Jesus just said 3 simple powerful words; "Lazarus, Come forth". Poor Lazarus bound up like an Egyptian mummy. He must have been hopping awkwardly, while struggling to breathe through his grave clothes in order to try to obey Jesus after death lost it's grip on his body.

And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. John 11:44

Sometimes when God does a miracle He often leaves a part for us to do.

Jesus did many healings, miracles including raising the dead back to life. The greatest miracle is Jesus Christ's resurrection. Jesus was beaten for our healing (Isaiah 53, 1 Peter 2:24), suffered judgment oif God in our place dying for our sins and on the third day arose from the dead. This resurrection is proof that Jesus is God in the flesh (John 1:14, 1 Timothy 3:16)

As proof that He was the son of God, Jesus allowed others to worship Him. Often when they were healed or set free from demons, the person set free would worship Jesus. The final proof of Jesus being God was when he arose from the grave after 3 days.

As if that was not enough the resurrected Jesus Christ in the immediate days following the resurrection allowed others to worship Him. One time that stands out is when Thomas doubted and when Our Lord Jesus Christ appeared To Thomas, knowing Thomas's previous words was told by Jesus to put his hands in Jesus side and to feel the holes from the nails of the Cross. At that point Thomas worshiped Jesus as God and said my Lord and my God.

Jesus accepted Thomas's worship as He, Jesus, accepts your worship and my worship today and on into eternity.

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:29

So this blessed time of year or whenever you read this begin to believe in Jesus. If you already have a personal alive relationship with the living God, Jesus Christ, then pray to Him about the Holy Spirit increasing your faith so that you will believe even more!

Obama won. Now What?

The Bible instructs us to pray for our rulers and leaders. If you liked Obama, pray for his success and if you did not like Obama pray that God will change Obama's heart to do what is best for America! One thing more thing, if President-elect Obama, as any president, makes mistakes that are bad for us and bad for America then he should still be opposed. Pray for him while opposing when needed! Kind of like "love the sinner while hating the sin"!

Dog Sense & Obama

Have you ever heard that a dog "knows" when an earthquake is about to hit?
Have you ever heard that a dog can "sense" when a tornado is stirring up, even 20 miles away?
Do you remember hearing that before the December tsunami struck Southeast Asia, dogs started running frantically away from the seashore, at breakneck speed?

Do you know that dogs can detect cancer and other serious illnesses and danger of fire?

Somehow they always know when they can 'go for a ride' before you even ask and how do those dogs and cats get home from hundreds of miles away?

I'm a firm believer that animals - and especially dogs - have keen insights into the Truth.

And you can't tell me that dogs can't sense a potentially terrible disaster well in advance.

Simply said, a dog just KNOWS when something isn't right ... when impending doom is upon us .. they'll always try to warn us.... !!

Another Soldier's Prayer

From. within I felt the desire to pray, but the heat of battle turned
me away, even so 1 felt the Lord of heaven had His hand on me and was
calling me to a higher calling, one for now 1 did not understand_
The day did come when that war came to an end,
I returned home to a hero's welcome,
but my soul was not yet at peace.
I struggled long to cope with the carnage of that war and what it had
done to me, from alcohol and drugs 1 found no, relief.

This was a different war, this was a war for my soul, finally 1 gave
up and turned to the Lord of heaven once more and asked Him to come
into my life, this time i truly meant it.

Behold, true to His word Almighty God took me by the hand and lead me
to the alter of forgiveness, there I was cleansed of all the thoughts
and feelings that had been a barrier between Him and me.
I now stand in a pulpit among the sheep and the wolves proclaiming
the power of our Almighty God, the one who had turned a killing
machine into a saint.

One worthy of the love of God, one willing to stand in the gap and
proclaim the word of the Lord of the universe, my God and your God,
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. A-men

A Soldiers Prayer

Pastor/Evangelist Earl posted this "Soldiers Prayer"
in our OnLine Bible Church group.
I reposted it in a few other groups including the Vulcan Council.
In a week or within a few weeks I will repost a second "Soldiers Prayer".

A SOLDIERS PRAYER

O God forgive me the death that I deliver to my foes,
I pray that it were not so.
I prefer to have them as my friends,
but they refuse to come to the table of Love.

The days are dreary, the nights long as the hell of battle sounds all around and yet I find peace whenever I pray to Thee.
The flash of cannon, the crack of the rifle fill the air
and keep me from sleep, finally weary and tired I fall fast to sleep, resting in the comfort that You will see me through.
As the early morning light breaks the eastern sky I once again pray
to You that this day will bring peace and hope for tomorrow.

The stench of death fills the air, bombs bursting like firecrackers on the fourth of July, shrapnel piercing the bodies of my friends and yet death evades me.

Why am I spared the pain of death, the hole in my helmet is testimony that God has His hand on me and yet I know not why I am spared.
Perhaps it is proof that God has something else for me to do
when this war comes to an end,
if so I am ready to follow Him
wherever He will lead me.

As they say there are no atheists in foxholes,
I am beginning to believe that that is true,
for a friend of mine just before he died
asked I if I would say a prayer for him.
I held his hand as life drained from his body, just before he closed his eyes in death he looked at me and said,
"Do you see what I see?"
I turned to him and replied,
"No, tell me what you see."
With that he returned,
"I see the Lord of heaven holding out His hand to me. Him I cannot refuse. Bless you my friend for praying for me."
With that said my friend closed his eyes in death, to my amazement there was a smile on his face, never more will he feel the sting of death, for in the arms of the Lord of heaven he now rests.

We need to have a single eye especially focussed on God's Word and serving Jesus Christ..
If we are living God's Word, experiencing Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, the way we should be then even in the difficult times there should be a joy way deep down in having this main focus of God's Word being our guideline with the Holy Spirit's help in our joyous serving of Jesus Christ, our God and Saviour!

Make me to understand ye way of thy precepts,
and I will meditate in thy wondrous works.
Psalm 119:27

Thine hands have made me and fashioned me:
give me understanding therefore,
that I may learn thy commandments.
Psalm 119:73

Jesus Answered these two verses,
He promised to send he Holy Spirit to help us, to comfort us, and to teach us of all things.
Jesus also promised to send the Holy Spirit to bring back to our remembrance all things which he said.
This is why it is important to study and read the Word so that the Holy Spirit can bring God's Word back to your remembrance
If you can't read very well then listen to the Word of God.

In conclusion here is how far we are in this very Biblical poem.

"Here is the spring where waters flow,
to quench our heat of sin:
Here is the tree where truth doth grow,
to lead our lives there in:
Here is the judge hat stints the strife,
when men's devices fail:
Here s the bread that feeds the life;
that death cannot assail.
The tidings of salvation dear,

and shield of our defense,
Then be not like the hog that hath
a pearl at his desire,

9-11; Meet me At The Stairwell

PLEASE READ TO THE VERY END, IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

'MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL'

You say you will never forget where you were when
you heard the news On September 11, 2001.
Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room
with a man who called his wife to say 'Good-Bye.' I
held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the
peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but it
is OK..I am ready to go.'

I was with his wife when he called as she fed
breakfast to their children. I held her up as she
tried to understand his words and as she realized
he wasn't coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a
woman cried out to Me for help. 'I have been
knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!' I said.
'Of course I will show you the way home - only
believe in Me now.'

I was at the base of the building with the Priest
ministering to the injured and devastated souls.
I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He
heard my voice and answered.

I was on all four of those planes, in every seat,
with every prayer. I was with the crew as they
were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the
believers there, comforting and assuring them that their
faith has saved them.

I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan .
I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news.
Did you sense Me?

I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew
every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me
for the first time on the 86th floor.

Some sought Me with their last breath.
Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the
smoke and flames; 'Come to Me... this way... take
my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.
But, I was there.

I did not place you in the Tower that day. You
may not know why, but I do. However, if you were
there in that explosive moment in time, would you have
reached for Me?

Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey
for you. But someday your journey will end. And I
will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may
be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are
'ready to go.'

I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

Now onto Part 4 of this series of Bible lessons:

The tidings of salvation dear,
comes to our ears from hence;
(Luke 2:10)

The fortress of our faith is here,
and shield of our defense,
(Eph. 6:16)

Then the Angel said unto them,
Be not afraid; for behold,
I bring you glad tidings of great joy,
that shall be to all the people,
Luke 2:10

Above all, take the shield of faith,
wherewith ye may quench all the fiery darts of the wicked
Ephesians 6:16

These tidings of great joy is that the Messiah, the Saviour of the
world was going to be born for the salvation of all who believe upon Him.
He was born and His Name is Jesus Christ.
Then he died for our sins and rose from he grave that we can all be
born-again through faith in Him, Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the foundation of our faith.
He is our shield and defense along with the Word of God.

Then be not like the hog that hath
a pearl at his desire,
(Matt. 7:6)

And takes more pleasure in the trough
and wallowing in the mire.
(2 Peter 2:22)

Give ye not that which is holy to dogs,
neither cast ye your pearls before swine,
lest they tread them under their feet,
and turning again, all to rent you.
Matthew 7:6

But it is come unto them,
according to the true proverb,
The dog is returned to his own vomit,
and the sow that was washed,
to the wallowing in the mire.
2 Peter 2:22

These are strong words for people who reject the Word of God so I will
not comment on them.
I will just let the words of Peter and Matthew from God's Word speak
for themselves.

We are now more then half way done.

William Tyndale while attempting to translate the Bible to English fled to Germany meeting Martin Luther and then to Belgium.
Tyndale published the first mechanically printed New Testament in English in 1526.
6000 first-edition copies were smuggled into England and lit a Holy fire that could not be put out by man, not even by Kings and Queens!
For this William Tyndale was eventually caught, strangled and burned at the stake.

Many Pastors and Bible scholars and Theologians fled England due to Queen Mary's persecution of protestants.
They found safety and religious freedom in Geneva.
Those who helped translate and/or oversee the Geneva Bible translation,
the first complete English translation in history were Miles Coverdale (of the Coverdale Bible), John Knox, John Calvin etc.
Besides using the latest Hebrew and Greek manuscripts of thier day, they also referred to other translations in their studies, like Martin Luther's German translation and most likely Tyndale's New Testament in English among others.

The Geneva Bible was the first ENGLISH translation to be fully translated
from the ORIGINAL BIBLE LANGUAGES (Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic).

"Here is the judge that stints the strife,
when men's devices fail:"
(Rev. 2:7 and 22:2; Ps. 119:160)

"Here s the bread that feeds the life;
that death cannot assail."
(John 6:35)

Let him that hath an ear, hear what the Spirit saith unto the Churches.
To him that overcometh, will I give to eat of the tree of life
which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.
Revelation 2:7

There are many different aspects of the 7 churches in Revelation chapters 2 & 3.
Mainly 3 aspects involved in understanding
and applying these 2 chapters.

1. They were 7 literal churches, highlighting strengths and weaknesses.
Strengths all churches need to strive for and weaknesses all churches need to beware of as warnings to avoid.

2. Many also believe that they were 7 church ages.
The first church age being the days of the Apostles and the last (Laodicea) being a church world that is lukewarm;
shortly before Jesus takes us Christians away in the "Rapture", the "catching away".

3. To apply all warnings, compliments and promises of blessings as guidelines, discipline and/or promises for each of us depending which category we fall into.
Read Revelation chapter 2 & 3.
Then pray and find out which category you fall into.
Even if we think we are OK, we should always be striving to become more of an overcomer in Christ, with the help of he Holy Spirit.

In the midst of the street of it, and of either side of the river, was the tree of life,
which bare twelve manner of fruits, and gave fruit every month;
and the leaves of the tree served to heal the nations with.
Revelation 22:2

Healing and eternal life are through Jesus Christ.
Adam & Eve chose the forbidden tree of Knowledge of good and evil in disobedience to God when they could have partaken of the tree of life which is now found in the New Heaven which is the New Jerusalem.
In John 14:6 Jesus told us that He, Himself,
"is the Way, the truth, and the LIFE".
The TREE OF LIFE is Jesus Christ.
Whether literal or symbolic, I am not sure but I do know that the Tree of Life on the garden of Eden and here in this verse is Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith, the provider of Eternal Life!

The beginning of thy word is truth,
and all the judgments of thy righteousness endure forever.
Psalm 119:160

The scripture tells us that Jesus is TRUTH IN John 14:6.
In fact Jesus said that of Himself.
John chapter 1 we are told that "the Word is God" and that the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (in the form of Jesus Christ).
So Jesus is God's Word and Truth.
No wonder Jesus judgments are righteousness which lasts forever!

And Jesus said unto them, I am that bread of life;
he that cometh to me, shall not hunger,
and he that believeth in me,

John 6:35

The line from the poem that goes with this Bible verse says that "death cannot assail" the bread that feeds life.
Jesus in John 6:35 tells us that He is the Bread of Life and we already saw how Jesus is Life, Eternal Life for believers.
It seems looking up the Scripture references of this poem that we are seeing how God's Word (the Holy Bible) over and over again confirms Jesus as Truth and Life.
In john 14:6 He, Jesus, told us that to come to the Father we had to go through Him, Jesus.
Other scriptures tell us that while we were yet sinners (yes, me too) that Jesus died for our sins.
Jesus knew we were going to sin and we had to be punished for our sins so Jesus agreed with His, Our Heavenly Father to die for our sins, to suffer judgment and punishment that should have been ours.

From The Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Apostle John,
in John chapter 3
16 For God so loved the world, that he hath given his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world, ]
that he should condemn the world,
but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth in him, is not condemned;
but he that believeth not, is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the Name of that only begotten Son of God.
John3:16-18

By now we should be finding this poem from The 1599 Geneva Bible more and more inspirational because we see how it is based on beautiful truths from God's Word.
Read it out-loud this portion of the poem, meditate on it
and upon what we have studied this week.

"Here is the spring where waters flow,
to quench our heat of sin:
Here is the tree where truth doth grow,
to lead our lives there in:
Here is the judge hat stints the strife,
when men's devices fail:
Here s the bread that feeds the life;
that death cannot assail."

Note before we start the regular lesson:
On Bible Notations & abbreviations:

If I give a reference with a name like John 10:10
that is the same as Saint John,
the same as the Gospel of John and the same as the Gospel of Saint John, the same as the Gospel of the Apostle John.
Different publishers label the Gospels slightly different
but the 4 Gospels are still basically Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Just some publishers include the words "Gospel of" while others also include titles added to the gospel writers names.
To be technical all 4 of the Gospels are actually Gospels of Jesus Christ as recorded and written by each of the 4 Gospel writers.
Gospel means "Good News "
so since the Gospels are the Good News about Jesus Christ
then as I said all 4 Gospels are Gospels of Jesus Christ
written by each of the 4 Gospel writers.
If I remember correctly once in a while I will see a publisher title the Gospels as "the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to...."
and then the name of one of the Gospel writers
(Matthew, Mark, Luke & John)
That is the most correct.

However, how the publisher titles the 4 Gospels rarely has any bearing
on the accuracy or validity of the particular translation they are publishing.

John 10:10 would mean John chapter 10 verse 10.
As we discussed this could also be
St. John chapter 10, verse 10,
The Gospel according to John Chapter 10 verse 10 etc.
The Gospel according to St. John Chapter 10 verse 10 and so on.

Also a number in front of a name means the first or second or third epistle of.
For example:
1 Peter 2:1 means
the First Epistle of Peter chapter 2 verse 1.
2 Cor.3:4 means
the Second Epistle to the Corinthians Chapter 3 verse 4.

The same notations apply to the Old Testament, also.

If this is rudimentary to many of you please forgive me.
But it dawned on me that not everyone is at the same level
and that the above information of how to understand
abbreviated scripture references might be helpful to new seekers.

OK on to our devotional study,
starting with the next verse of our Geneva Bible Poem
"Of the incompatible treasure of the holy scriptures,
with a prayer for the true use of the same."
from the 1599 Geneva Bible and the scripture references:

(Jer 33:15 and Ps 119:160)

I included the prayer in the first lesson but will not include it in every single lesson because I do not want it to become mundane from us reading it too many times.
It is in my introduction so you can look there for it.

Now for the full text of those Bible verses:

In those days and at that time,
will I cause the branch of righteousness to grow up unto David,
and he shall execute judgment,
and righteousness in the land.

The beginning of thy word is truth,

My comments:

The reference to a tree growing reminds me of Psalm 1.

Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the man that doeth not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in ye seat of the scornful:
2 But his delight is in the Law of the Lord, and in his Law doeth he meditate day and night.
3 For he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters, that will bring forth her fruit in due season:
whose leaf shall not fade: so whatsoever he shall do, shall prosper.
4 The wicked are not so, but as the chaff, which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked shall perish.

Notice:
that if you avoid the advice (counsel) of the wicked and do not even take time to sit and hear their ideas
but instead you delight on God's Word (His Law, including he New Testament laws of the Holy Spirit) written on our hearts;
then you will grow like a tree planted by rivers.
In dry spells a tree by the river does better and lasts longer then all the other trees
because it is closest to its source of life.
It is the same with us when we read study and deligh in God's Word,the Holy Bible.
Also, Jesus is this source for He said "of anyone thirst let him(or her) come to me (Jesus).
In so many words Jesus also told he woman at tghe well this also.
In fact He told her that He had water that would cause her to never thirst again. (John Chapter 4)

God's Word (the Holy Bible) is true.
Other scriptures tells us that Heaven and Earth will pass away but God's Word endureth forever.

Jeremiah 33:15 is speaking about the "branch of righteousnsess" as a person, descended from David,
a person who judges fairly and will bring righteousness to the land.
This is a prophesy of Jesus Christ as the Messiah.
This prophesy applies both to Jesus first coming as a humble servant
and of His Sec0nd Coming as KING OF GLORY to reign and rule over all!

In John Chapter One we are informed that the Word is one with God and is God.
Then we read a little further in this chapter and we are told that He, this Word manifested Himself in the flesh.
The Word in the flesh is Jesus.
Jesus was and is God's Word to us in action.

Truth is also mentioned.
Jesus said of Himself;
"I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life.
No man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 14:6

Jesus is the Word revealed in action, Jesus is Truth lived out in action, Jesus lived the Life we should live
and can have through faith in Him and in His Death, burial and ressurrection.

7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily I say unto you, I am the door of
the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me, are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not
hear them.
9 I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in, and
go out, and find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come
that they might have life, and have it in abundance.
11 I am that good shepherd; that good shepherd giveth his life for his sheep.

and First Devotional Thought
From The Geneva Bible.

Introduction:

Ann Matos (the founder/owner of this blog and the Vulcan Council) has asked me to do a a Sunday devotional or sermon.
I posted lesson 1 of this series in the Vulcan Council, 3 weeks ago.
This week I posted lesson 3 there. Here on this blog, I will post the lessons from the series every week or two.

I believe Ann asked me to do this because she, like myself. recognizes that faith was a strong principle of our founding Fathers.
In fact the first original form of government in America
was done by Christians with strong Convictions.
This people were the Pilgrims and there government was based on the Mayflower Compact which they wrote when they realized that they were not going to land in an established southern colony.
It is said that the Mayflower Compact is
the foundation of all Western Democracies.

"What does all of this have to do with a devotional?"; you may ask.
Please be patient with me and you will see in a few moments.

By way of introduction I am reviewing history of the Pilgrims
because they used the Geneva Bible
which was before the King James version.

The Geneva Bible was first published 1560 and every so often republished after that.
That is about 51 years before the King James Version.
I find the translation of the King James Version Bible
to be very similar to the Geneva Bible.
Probably their was some influence of the
Geneva Bible upon the King James.

Also, I think both translations used the same source manuscripts,
the Textus Receptus (meaning the Received Text, the accepted text).

I purchased a copy of the Geneva Bible from

That way it should be OK for me to quote a little each week from the republished Geneva Bible.

This copy, I acquired is from the 1599 Geneva Bible and has modern text to make it readable. In the old original manuscripts "S" looked like an "f", "U" looked like a "V" and some spellings were different like "old" is spelled "olde". Other then that and a few grammatical updates which is all explained in the Foreword and/or Preface; this newer printing is the same as the 1599 Geneva Bible.

This 1599 Geneva Bible has a poem about the importance of scripture and also a page that is a Bible Study page about spiritual profiting when reading the Holy Scriptures.
Both were in the original 1599 Geneva Bible which the Pilgrims used!

I think... what better way then to acknowledge our "Founding Fathers" then to Study the Bible from their (the Pilgrims) perspective?

Since I am very busy; I will start with only the first verse from the poem with the corresponding scripture references that were provided in this Geneva Bible, and also include the concluding prayer
Next week, depending on my busyness I may do more then one verse from the poem.
Each week I will include the verse of the past weeks so you can see the progression of the poem as we go.
Instead of just the references I will include the Bible verses so that they are there for you.

This page that the pilgrims wrote
and included in their Geneva Bible is titled:

This is the first verse, the corresponding scriptures provided and the concluding prayer at the end of the poem:

Here is the spring where waters flow,

(Isa 12:3 and 49:10; Rom 5:16 and 6:17)

Therefore with joy shall ye draw waters out of the well of salvation.
Isaiah 12:3

They shall not be hungry,
neither shall they be thirsty,
neither shall the heat smite them,
nor the sun,
for he that hath compassion on them, shall lead them;
even to the springs of water shall he drive them.
Isaiah 49:10

Neither is the gift so,

Grant this, O heavenly Father, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

My devotional comments on the above:

Water is the source of life.
A person and most animals can go without food much longer then we can go without water.
Jesus told the woman at the well that He had water which would make her never thirst again.
In another place in the Gospels Jesus proclaimed that all who thirst shoudl come to Him for springs of Living Water.
Jesus is the source of the water of the wells of Salvation.
Jesus is the source of Living Water to eternal life.
Ponce De Leon and others were looking for a spring that would give eternal youth in the New world.
When he and others should have been looking to the Word of God not for "eternal youth" but for "Eternal Life".

Also, Psalm 121, along with our reference from Isaiah, tells us that the Lord will not allow us to be smitten by the sun (by the heat from the sun).
There are many other verses that talk about the Lord being our Rock, our shade, our shield, our protection from harm.

In Hebrews Jesus promised to he disciples and to all who would believe in Him that He would "never leave nor forsake us".

The gift that those verses in Romans are talking about is that Jesus Christ died on the Cross and shed His Blood for our sin so that we could have His free gift of eternal life.

Then as final proof of His authority to cleanse us of our sin to cleanse us by His Blood, Jesus Christ rose from the grave on the third day. Jesus is now in Heaven making intercession for us (praying for us).

One more thing.
There is nothing I can add to the prayer
because it is definitely inspired
and still as beneficial to pray now
as it was over 400 years ago.

Save our Boy Scouts

Ann (the Vulcan Council and Vulcan Anvil founder)
and I had been discussing by private e-mail about the Boy Scouts.

I had some concerns because the last I knew SOME (not all) Boy Scout
troops and/or districts were giving in to Liberal causes like having
homosexual Scout leaders.

Now I think that is probably a minority giving in to pressure and that
many more troops and districts lost some funding rather then
compromise their original vision and the safety of their boys
Homosexual Scout leaders would endanger the boys, as far as possible
sexual molestation.

Oprah, Al Gore and What about Global Warming?

Oprah, Al Gore and
What about Global Warming?

A friend asked me about Al Gore and Global Warming in the context
that Gore appeared on the Oprah show about this
issue (if you want to call it that)!

Here is my answer:

Oprah and Al Gore.....
that is like the devil's publicity dream team.

Even if they are wrong; between the 2 of them many millions would believe anything they say and they are BOTH anti-christian.
They probably even have the same spirit of anti-christ.
Not THE ANTI-CHRIST but the spirit of anti-christ.
The devil loves it when his powerful false prophets team up.

That said pictures of melting glaciers are a powerful argument
because as the saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words.
Then again if those pictures are the exception not the actual over-all reality
then they are lying about what they (Gore, Oprah and environmental extremists) are saying.

In fact I heard one scientist explain that if we actually had global warming because of what it would eventually do to our atmosphere (blocking more of the sun's rays) global warming would actually eventually cause an ice age.
The opposite of what Gore and his cronys are saying.

It sounds to me like God created the earth, our atmosphere and the sun in such a unison that the earth and atmosphere following God's laws of science everything eventually balances out.

Remember Noah's flood.
The atmosphere changed as a result of that deluge of rain.
Seasons suddenly came into being.
Yet Man and the animals managed
(from 8 people, 2 each of unclean animals, 7 each from clean animals)
to make a come back from 8 people to over 6 billion people., almost 7 billion.

Actually Al Gore has no problem with killing the weak, the defenseless,
such as babies (unborn babies), the elderly and the handicap.

I know this for 2 reasons:

1. Al Gore is one of the leaders in the Democratic party.
To make it as far as he did, he would have to agree with the liberal
politics of death which the National Democratic party supports.

2. When Al Gore wrote his book years ago (this is an old issue he is revisiting)*
he basically said that the human race is a virus upon the earth and the earth can only handle one-half billion people.
That means in reality he sees no problem with over 6 billion people dying and/or being killed.
I would guess as long as that 6 billion does not include himself or his family and friends.
Another thing is Al Gore basically wants most of us to do away with cars and go back to horse and buggy days.
Of course, he has figured out how many fume making, gas guzzling vehicles his mother earth can handle.
Would you like to guess who would have the privilege of driving a car while we have to walk miles to go everywhere?
On to of that these people who travel all over the USA and sometimes all over the country are using jets (often private jets) that create more pollution then many of the largest passenger motor vehicles.
If they (Al Gore included)are so concerned why are they jetting from one place to another?

Though we should be responsible citizens,
like not throwing trash out our car windows,
I do not believe in environmentalism to the point
of hurting our economy.
I do not believe in environmentalism to the point
of destroying the lifestyle of the free world.

Also, most of the worst polluters are not the USA or our strongest allies but are communist countries like China and the poverty stricken third world countries. I say go after the true culprits before bothering to change the USA lifestyle but for liberals that would not be politically correct!
In fact Communism and dictatorships have always been about power and Gorbachev, the strong Communist he is..... has joined world peace movements and world environmental groups.
Why?
Because if The USA is restricted in it's manufacturing, it's transportation and as a result have a very restricted controlled (limited) economy then Gorbachev has succeeded in defeating American Capitalism.
If both the peace extremists and the environmentalists extremists succeed
then Communist Gorbachev as part of that movement also has succeeded in controlling the world through these groups.
It is about power... not really about peace and not really about the environment.

I guess Al Gore wants to see the same thing because
that is how he is acting and speaking on issues like this.
Al Gore is just trying to recreate himself politically and financially
using the same old tired issues of his book from at least a few years back.

Remember what I said in the beginning of this e-mail:
Oprah and Al Gore.....
that is like the devil's publicity dream team.
The devil loves it when his powerful false prophets team up.

Like I said before even if global warming is true, according to expert scientists the earth would warm up and then cooled down to an ice age or a mini-ice age so nothing to worry about,
Whenever Jesus comes back for us Christians in His "Catching Away" of us saints ;
whether it is before or after possible climate changes;
I am sure modern man will adapt as far as global warming and/or another ice age.

According to historians and archaeologists ancient primitive man survived the last ice age...
if it happens how much more qualified for modern man to survive it if it is true?

One final thought:
Ultimately Jesus is going to destroy this old world in a much worse way
then global warming or an ice age and then create a brand new perfect Heaven and Earth.
So for us Christians, the most important thing is to be ready for Christ coming for us.
Of course pollution, ice age, global warming, wars, new diseases and the consequences of them are tools we can use to present the Gospel to the lost.
AS you already know, truly this is the day,
now is the time that the sinners need to turn to Jesus.

Hamas Has Changed the Middle-East Paradigm

You will not hear this publicly but the Hamas victory in Gaza will transform American strategy in the Middle East. Why? The Hamas bloody and barbaric victory was at the hands of Shi'ite Iran's training and weapons supply. Hamas also has received huge cash support from Saudi Arabia.

So here is the scenario for Israel: a well trained Hamas in Gaza; an antiquated yet a schmoozer for arms from the West for the PLO (Fatah dominated) in the West Bank East of Israel; a military mobilizing Syria (and client of Iran) North and East of Israel; and Hezbollah (client of Syria and Iran) North of Israel.

The picture is one of hostility completely surrounding Israel. This is an Israel that had its image seriously chipped by Hezbollah in fighting in Lebanon.

Then there is America. Publicly America is Israel's number one protector and ally. Leftist politicians are displaying America's vulnerable guts to radical Islamists demonstrating the powerful American military does not have the political backing of its people to fight a prolonged war to a victory. For the Islamists this is a stark picture of insufferable weakness.

Now that I painted this word picture for you consider this. At Haditha in Iraq American soldiers have been accused of massacring 24 Iraqis in revenge for protecting insurgents that murdered a buddy of the soldiers. This story garnered global hysteria over alleged brutality by the American military. Here we are nearly a year later and the Mainstream Media has nearly abandoned the story. Why? As more and more information is developing it is appearing that the dead were staged by Sunni insurgents to make Americans look bad. The implication is the so-called civilians were indeed aiding the insurgents who used Haditha citizens that supported the insurgents as human shields as the insurgents made their escape.

Did people die by American hands? Probably; however the deaths were the result of indigenous support for insurgents who used them as human shields.

Were we not speaking of Hamas and Israel? Here is the thing. The swift Hamas victory was not performed in an ethical way. If Americans or Israelis won a victory in the same way that Hamas had done, there would be Leftist and Arab sympathizers calling for War Crimes Justice. Hamas entered hospitals firing weapons. Hamas drug Fatah supporters and police into the streets and executed them (often in a brutish desecrating manner). Hamas would throw Fatah people off of buildings to their death.

Where was the Mainstream Media and Leftist cry of the abuse of Geneva Conventions. POW's were executed not rounded up and interned. The thing that makes this even more horrendous is that the devilish barbarism was executed on fellow Palestinian-Arabs. We hear of Gitmo inmates interned as enemy combatants and possibly the receivers of torture. We hear that these terrorists have had their Geneva Conventions violated (doubtful since they do not represent a nation that signed the Accords) and so on.

BUT Hamas in full view of cameras barbarically murdered their perceived enemy combatants in the streets, in the hospitals, in their homes and more. WHERE IS THE GLOBAL OUTRAGE!

Immigration Amnesty, Immigration Reform?

We do not need to grant amnesty to thousands of law-breakers (illegal immigrants).
Even if they were given amnesty for that one crime of being here illegally, who is to say these illegal immigrants will not break other laws since they did not respect the laws of the USA in the first place?

Immigration Reform is definitely needed. I think the reform we need; is for our government (USA) to crack down on illegal immigrants and send them back to whatever country they came from. Also as part of that reform the Minute Men should be encouraged.
All police and enforcement agencies on our border should be given more authority including local town police, County police, and State police. Instead of using government funds for some illegals to collect welfare benefits, they should be refused and reported to authorities.
The extra money that is saved could be used towards enforcement of border and immigration laws. Also more money needs to be used on immigration officers to enforce border laws.

I AM NOT AGAINST ALL IMMIGRANTS.
LEGAL immigrants are fine.
My Italian great-grandparents on my Dad's side of our family came over here LEGALLY!
I am thankful for that.
I am thankful that all of our family were and are legal citizens of the USA!

One more thing.
As part of Immigration Reform illegals should
NOT be allowed to sue arresting enforcers of our American laws.

Iraqi sculpturer honors American troops

An Iraqi sculpturer (previously forced to create Saddam Hussein statues)
made this statue on thankfulness to honor our troops.
It was made from so many heads (5, I think) from statues of Saddam Hussein melted down.

It shows a little Iraqi girl comforting one of our American soldiers
grieving for a fallen comrade in arms.

Gratefulness of the average Iraqi people like this does not make the news.
